On April 16th, in special honor of National Poetry Month, join us as the Wright Presents - Third Thursday: Starlit Verses. This experience brings together the commanding voice of Detroit’s Poet Laureate, Jessica Care Moore, with the Columbus-born, rich, soaring harmonies of Starlit Ways. Through powerful spoken word, live musical performance, and intimate storytelling, this inspiring evening will center on the brilliance of Black artistic expression, where poetry and music converge to create a space of reflection, connection, and collective imagination.
Starlit Verses invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and gather in shared presence. It is an opportunity to experience the transformative power of language and sound, to be moved by voices that carry truth, and to celebrate the enduring legacy of Black poets and musicians who continue to shape our cultural landscape.
This is an evening where poetry glows, music lifts, and together we create a constellation of stories under stars of our own making.
Join us early in the Rotunda at 6:00 PM for complimentary food and a cash bar!
Third Thursdays are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Food and seating are limited and are not guaranteed.
